During the 2025 French Radiology Days, Gilles Juving, Director of Imaging Product Marketing at Evolucare, was a guest on the Radiology News programme to discuss a key topic that is too often overlooked in the Ségur digital strategy: the strategic role of connected RIS.
While the DRIMbox has largely dominated the spotlight, the connected RIS is establishing itself as the real driving force behind a paradigm shift for radiologists.
Connected RIS: towards a collaborative ecosystem
Evolucare’s ambition, through its Evolucare Imaging solution, is clear: to make RIS an interoperability hub at the heart of the patient journey.
« The radiologist will be able to supplement their analysis with external data: hospitalisations, specialist reports, etc. This is known as breaking down silos. »
In practical terms, an RIS connected to the DMP enables:
- Immediate access to the patient’s medical history,
- Intelligent pre-filling of reports using structured data,
- Seamless sharing of results with prescribers.
These are all innovations in usage that strengthen the integration of radiologists into a continuous care pathway, in line with the ambitions of the Ségur de la Santé healthcare reform programme.
A project developed with radiologists
In a spirit of co-construction, the Evolucare teams are also working on a new reporting model that is more fluid and faster than Word, incorporating artificial intelligence and automated conclusion suggestions.
« We invite all radiologists to come and test our models and tell us what they need. We want to work with them to develop the tool of tomorrow. »
Pact4all: making life easier for professionals, connecting career paths
This vision of connected RIS is part of the #Pact4all initiative led by Evolucare:
- ✅ Making life easier for healthcare professionals,
- ✅ Ensuring continuity of care,
- ✅ Thinking globally, acting locally as close as possible to the patient.
With Evolucare Imaging, we have chosen technology that serves its purpose, an interoperable, intuitive RIS built with users in mind. Because breaking out of the silo means, above all, rethinking the role of the radiologist in a more connected, fluid and human approach to medicine.
