La Canopée & Evolucare: three reports at the heart of a health project in French Guiana
In a region where access to healthcare remains a daily challenge, digital technology plays an essential role in structuring and securing care pathways.
Working alongside the Rainbow Santé Group, Evolucare supported the roll-out of the information system at La Clinique La Canopée, with an integrated software suite designed to meet the realities on the ground.
This three-part series takes you behind the scenes of an exemplary project, combining a shared vision, coordinated care and the commitment of professionals:
1️⃣ Opening a clinic in a remote area
2️⃣ Osiris EHR at the service of the patient journey
3️⃣ French Guiana, a promising territory for more humane digital healthcare
Opening a clinic in a remote area: the story of a collective challenge
In Cayenne, in a territory as vast as it is underserved, the Rainbow Santé Group has taken on an ambitious challenge: to create a modern, multidisciplinary clinic adapted to the realities of French Guiana. With 13,000 m² dedicated to healthcare, La Clinique La Canopée marks a major step forward in the local healthcare system.
This large-scale project would not have been possible without the right digital support. From the earliest stages of design, Rainbow Santé chose to rely on Evolucare, its long-standing partner, to structure the care pathway around a secure, interoperable and comprehensive information system based on the Osiris EHR.
In this overseas department, the needs are immense: a young population, isolated areas, and a high rate of precariousness. The challenges are considerable. The La Canopée clinic is a key player in healthcare provision, with paediatric, geriatric, palliative care and follow-up care units.
Behind this project, a close-knit group has formed: healthcare professionals, administrators, technical partners, all united around the same goal.
The continuation of Evolucare’s EHR solutions at the heart of healthcare in French Guiana
The choice of a comprehensive, integrated hospital information system was a decisive factor in ensuring the successful opening of the La Canopée clinic. From the outset, Rainbow Santé entrusted Evolucare with structuring the entire patient journey around the Osiris EHR, the core of the Evolucare Care software suite.
In a new facility in a remote location, having a single, centralised and interoperable system is a strategic challenge: it facilitates operational implementation, limits workload disruptions, improves the traceability of care, and ensures compliance with current regulatory requirements.
From his post, Dr Kinsiona can consult medical records, prescribe medication, work directly with the pharmacy and provide high-quality follow-up care, even remotely. In a region where patients may come from far away, this continuity of information is invaluable in ensuring safe treatment.
The integration of Osiris with other modules in the Evolucare Care range – including PUI pharmacy management (Winpharm), bed scheduling and patient administrative management (Medsphere) – enables unified management, smooth workflows and better coordination between departments. Every healthcare professional has the right information at the right time.
This modular and consistent approach also ensures better maintainability of the HIS, clearer support for teams and optimal use of data, particularly via the Analytics module, which is used for quality management.

French Guiana, a territory with a promising future for safer digital health
In a remote territory such as French Guiana, the success of a digital project cannot be measured solely by how well the software works. It also depends on the ability to provide long-term support to users, with trained, available and responsive teams. With this in mind, Evolucare has formed a trusted partnership with GF Consulting, a local player that has been established for over ten years.
Thanks to its in-depth knowledge of the realities on the ground and its proximity to institutions, GF Consulting provides continuous support to teams: technical assistance, configuration, training, change management. This local approach guarantees continuity of service, while allowing tools to be finely tuned to the practices of professionals. In a region marked by geographical remoteness and significant organisational constraints, this human connection is a key factor for success.
The impact of digital technology can also be measured by its ability to support the internal dynamics of institutions, in particular by making them more attractive to professionals and encouraging them to stay.
Enhanced management with Analytics
Beyond day-to-day management, the digital tools deployed at La Canopée are also powerful levers for strategic management and continuous improvement. This is the whole point of the Evolucare Analytics module, which is used in particular by the quality team to monitor key indicators, document certification procedures and optimise internal practices.
This ability to exploit data in a structured manner makes it possible to move from a reactive approach to a proactive approach to quality and performance, while strengthening the transparency and traceability expected by health authorities.

A collective dynamic working towards better healthcare
The La Clinique La Canopée project shows how much the success of a healthcare facility depends as much on medical vision as on digital organisation. Here, the choice of an integrated hospital information system, provided by a single publisher, has made it possible to structure the entire patient journey in a fluid, traceable manner that complies with regulatory requirements.

Thanks to the Evolucare Care suite, the establishment benefits from a comprehensive and consistent solution, from admission to quality management. This deployment is based on a close partnership with GF Consulting, which guarantees responsive and sustainable support in a region with specific needs.
By supporting the implementation of this clinic of the future, Evolucare affirms its ability to support institutions where the challenges are greatest, with reliable tools, a tailor-made approach, and an ongoing commitment to working alongside healthcare professionals.
The Rainbow Santé Group and La Canopée Clinic
Rainbow Santé has been operating in French Guiana for over 15 years. It develops coordinated, local healthcare services through health and medico-social facilities and home-based services to combat inequalities in access to healthcare in the region.
Inaugurated in 2025 in Cayenne, the Clinique La Canopée is a modern multidisciplinary facility designed to meet the specific needs of the local population. It has a capacity of 110 inpatient beds and 25 day hospital places, enabling it to treat both patients requiring long-term hospitalisation and those requiring outpatient care (rehabilitation, dialysis, specialised care).
