At french SFAR 2025, Evolucare is highlighting its strategic partnership with POSOS, a specialist in artificial intelligence applied to the recognition and analysis of medical prescriptions.
Together, the two publishers are offering anaesthesia professionals a concrete advance: a prescription scanning module integrated into the Evolucare Anaesthesia solution, designed to save time, reduce errors and make pre-operative prescriptions more reliable.
Reliable and structuring AI technology
The module is based on AI prescription recognition technology, which operates in two stages:
- Step 1: Intelligent extraction
Artificial intelligence identifies medical entities (molecules, dosages, posologies) and associates them with the professional drug database. Each element is structured to correspond to clinical standards. Example: “1 tablet morning and evening if pain” becomes a structured posology that can be interpreted by caregivers and the software. - Step 2: Medical validation
The practitioner views the photo of the prescription and its transcription in an intuitive interface, accompanied by a confidence score (green, orange, red). They validate it, adjust it if necessary, then send it to Evolucare Anaesthesia without having to re-enter any data.
This recognition is complemented by advanced pharmaceutical analysis: interactions, contraindications, cytochrome alerts, suggestions for alternative treatments or dosage adjustments based on renal function.
Improving safety and freeing up time for consultations
During the pre-anaesthesia consultation (PAC), practitioners must record all of the patient’s treatments, an essential but time-consuming step that often takes twice as long if the EHR and the specialist software are not interconnected.
With this new module, Evolucare Anesthesia automates this sensitive step, ensures data reliability and frees up valuable time. This time saving allows the consultation to focus on the doctor-patient dialogue while improving the traceability of prescriptions.
