ITINOVA strengthens the management of its health and social care establishments with Evolucare
With a structured strategy and close support, Itinova optimises the management of its disability facilities thanks to Evolucare solutions.
Digital transformation at the service of business lines
Since 2020, Itinova, a medical and social services group with 70 establishments across the south-east of France, has been undertaking a complete overhaul of its information system. The aim is to standardise its digital tools in order to better meet the varied needs of its structures, particularly in the disability sector.
To meet this challenge, the group chose Imago DU, Evolucare’s computerised user file, coupled with Evolucare Analytics, its decision-making management solution. This ambitious project is being led by the IT department of GIE Santinova, which supports all of the group’s entities.
The IT department team is led by Olivier Pareige and comprises 17 IT experts responsible for infrastructure, cybersecurity, application deployment, BI and user support. It also performs the functions of DPO and CISO for the entire group. Through an IT structuring strategy, Olivier Pareige is driving a process of tool standardisation and team support, placing operational efficiency and security at the heart of the information system.
Itinova: an organisation promoting inclusion
Created through the merger of two Lyon-based associations, Itinova now brings together:
- 24 nursing homes,
- 4 follow-up care and rehabilitation clinics,
- 30 establishments in the disability, childhood and precariousness sectors,
- as well as the Var’s 115 platform.
With 2,700 employees, the group works closely with elderly people, people with disabilities and those in precarious situations.
A concrete response to business needs
For a group such as Itinova, whose establishments cover a wide range of medical and social services — French structures like DITEP, MAS, PAD, childcare and poverty relief facilities — implementing a single person record system represented a real challenge. Each facility has its own practices, rhythms and specific requirements. In this context, the association’s project team sought a solution capable of responding to this diversity, while remaining clear, consistent and scalable.
The choice of Imago DU was a natural one after a rigorous analysis of business and functional requirements. What made the difference? A robust, proven solution that was operational from the outset and, above all, designed for professionals in the field.
The intuitive ergonomics of Imago DU have been a powerful lever in facilitating adoption, particularly in establishments where users are still in the process of developing their digital skills. Direct access to essential features (calendar, personalised projects, DMP (french national patient record) export, MSSanté messaging system integration, etc.) enables teams to work more efficiently, without technological overload.
Another key criterion is the SaaS mode, which offers a concrete response to technical and operational challenges. Thanks to this hosting mode, institutions benefit from:
- smooth updates, without service interruption,
- a disaster recovery plan (DRP) managed directly by the publisher,
- and enhanced responsiveness when support or patches are required.
This architecture provides ease of day-to-day management while securing the group’s IT system. It also allows the IT department to focus its efforts on supporting business uses rather than maintaining infrastructure.
Finally, compliance with the ESMS Digital framework — with native integration of INS, DMP, MSSanté and Pro Santé Connect — has ensured compliance and sustainability, in line with the group’s strategic priorities.
Close collaboration with Evolucare and Weliom
The digital ESMS project was structured around a strong partnership:
- an internal project owner represented by an application project manager,
- a Weliom project support manager to develop the initial proposal and assist in selecting the solution.
The rollout was led by Séverine Girard, Evolucare project manager, in direct liaison with the 31 establishments concerned.
🎙️ «This type of project requires real flexibility. Thanks to a dedicated and experienced project manager from Evolucare, we were able to meet a demanding schedule, with excellent advice on key phases.»
— Olivier Pareige
Factors for retention: supporting diversity in different contextsntextes
The rollout of Imago DU within Itinova was part of a gradual, structured process that took into account the reality on the ground at each establishment. In such a diverse group, the dynamics of adoption can vary depending on the organisation, the resources available and local priorities.
Support was therefore tailored as closely as possible to needs, involving management and business teams from the earliest stages. Configuration sessions enabled users to be involved in setting up the tool, thereby strengthening their commitment to the change.
The ergonomics of Imago DU, designed for a variety of medical and social uses, facilitated this adoption. Thanks to a clear and accessible interface, professionals can focus on their support mission, with a tool designed for their daily work.
🎙️ «In establishments where the tool is well integrated, we observe smoother communication, increased visibility on files, and greater team efficiency.»
— Olivier Pareige, Itinova CIO
This inclusive approach, which respects everyone’s pace and constraints, illustrates the shared desire to move forward collectively towards sustainable digital transformation, serving both professionals and users.
Enhanced management thanks to data
With the integration of Evolucare Analytics, Itinova has taken a new step forward in the governance of its establishments. Management now has a clear, real-time view of business practices through accessible, up-to-date dashboards.
🎙️ «Management now has real-time dashboards to track key indicators: utilisation rates, schedules, activity, INS, etc. This is a real management tool for us.»
— Olivier Pareige
This data enables practices to be adjusted, training to be targeted, needs to be objectified and regulatory surveys, such as those conducted by ANAP, to be responded to more effectively. The analytical approach thus becomes a valuable decision-making tool, shared with hospital management and integrated into a process of continuous improvement.
Success factors for integrating the INS, DMP and MSSanté
- INS (national identity number): few stakeholders to train, resulting in smooth integration and good adoption by teams.
- DMP (national shared patient record): preliminary work with professionals to define the relevant documents to be included.
- MSSanté (secured healthcare professionals messaging system): more difficult to adopt due to poor equipment in partner organisations, particularly in the disability sector. Discussions are underway with the ARS and ANS, via the DSI and user clubs, to develop expectations.
Tangible benefits in the field
In the establishments most invested in the project, the positive effects were immediate. Communication between professionals became more fluid, file consultation and schedule management were significantly simplified, and team efficiency improved on a daily basis.
This feedback highlights an essential observation, emphasised by Olivier Pareige: “the greater the involvement of the project teams, the more visible and lasting the benefits. The adoption of the tool, combined with structured support, is a real lever for transformation, benefiting both professionals and users.“
Tips for a successful project
🎙️ « It is essential to have a single project manager on the publisher side and a strong internal team. Success depends on thorough preparation in advance of business use cases. »
— Olivier Pareige
The rollout was completed in July, with overall positive results. Future projects are under consideration, including the possible adoption of Imago Mobile by 2026.
