A strategic collaboration: Evolucare and Maincare at the service of the operating theatres of the Centre Hospitalier de Martigues
The Centre Hospitalier de Martigues is at the forefront of a major initiative in the digital transformation of operating theatres. Thanks to the collaboration between Evolucare and Maincare, two leaders in e-health innovation, the hospital now benefits from the integration of Evolucare OpRoom, Evolucare’s operating theatre management solution, into Maincare’s M-CrossWay hospital information system (HIS).
This project represents a significant step forward in optimising care pathways, improving the organisation of medical teams and guaranteeing better quality of patient care.
An integration project to drive innovation
Integrating an operating theatre management solution into an existing HIS is a technical and organisational challenge. Evolucare and Maincare worked closely with the teams at Martigues Hospital to implement an interoperable solution, guaranteeing the smooth and secure exchange of data.
Since mid-December 2024, surgeons have been using OpRoom to centralise their requests for operations. The administrative teams, for their part, draw up operating schedules directly on the platform. This integration guarantees continuity of access to medical information throughout the patient journey, contributing to seamless patient care.
François Potevin, Product Marketing Director for the Critical Care Division at Evolucare, comments:
‘This project perfectly illustrates our vision: combining business expertise and technological innovation to offer interoperable solutions that simplify the daily lives of carers while improving the patient experience.’
Tangible benefits for professionals and patients
The success of this integration is based on tangible benefits that meet the needs of both carers and patients.
Seamless interoperability
The integration of OpRoom with M-CrossWay provides centralised access to all patient medical data. This eliminates the need to re-enter information, reduces the risk of errors and improves coordination between medical teams.
Optimised organisation of operating theatres
Thanks to a user-friendly, intuitive interface, teams can manage scheduling effectively, anticipate resource requirements and monitor the key stages of the operating theatre process. This saves valuable time, which can be reallocated to direct care.
Enhanced quality of care
Integrated digital checklists and automatic alerts help teams to comply with safety protocols. This rigorous monitoring helps to reduce complications and improve patient outcomes.
Improved patient follow-up
Patients benefit from a more fluid care pathway, with clearly defined stages and better information sharing between the various players involved in their care.
A partnership based on complementarity and innovation
This project highlights the strength of a strategic collaboration between two renowned software publishers. Evolucare, an expert in specialised solutions for critical care, and Maincare, a key player in HIS, have combined their expertise to offer a solution tailored to the needs of hospitals.
The integration of OpRoom into M-CrossWay reflects the ability of the two partners to draw on interoperability standards and develop technological synergies. This complementarity guarantees a scalable solution capable of meeting the requirements of healthcare establishments, while adapting to the specific features of each organisation.

A positive impact for the Centre Hospitalier de Martigues
This project illustrates Evolucare’s and Maincare’s commitment to transforming operating theatre management through interoperable technological innovation. Integrating OpRoom into M-CrossWay will simplify organisation, improve coordination between teams and optimise patient care.
